OVERVIEW
Green Square Town Centre – Site 16, (Ebsworth) located off Bourke Street Zetland is part of the Green Square Town centre development, creating a new centre on the outskirts of the Sydney CBD in Sydney’s oldest industrial heartlands.
Mainland Civil was awarded the early works contract for earthworks, remediation, retention system and in ground works.
The works involved installation of a dewatering system, incorporated within the shotcrete and jet grout retention system to ensure ground water was controlled during the bulk excavation stages.
The site was remediated with the removal of 27,000m3 of contaminated spoil and capped with concrete prior to the main works commencing.
