OVERVIEW
University of Queensland Oral Health Centre is an iconic project for the university and Queensland Health. Located in the Parish of North Brisbane, this development will incorporate dental clinics and research laboratories alongside Queensland’s heritage Medical School building and grounds.
Mainland Civil were contracted to undertake the demolition and bulk excavation works, including 50,000m3 of rock, shoring and underpinning of Heritage buildings.
With the Royal Brisbane Hospital and Childcare Centre adjacent to the project site, particular attention was made to ensure that the environmental impacts of the construction works on its surrounds were minimised.
